Welcome to The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, North Marston.
Church building is still open
During this distressing and difficult time, the Church building will remain open through the day. You are very welcome to come in, to spend time in this historic place and to pray and reflect. Please continue to follow guidance on good hygiene.
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have said: Being a part of the Church of England is going to look very different in the days ahead. Our life is going to be less characterised by attendance at church on Sunday, and more characterised by the prayer and service we offer each day. We may not be able to pray with people in the ways that we are used to, but we can certainly pray for people. And we can certainly offer practical care and support.
If you want us to pray for you, please email your prayer requests to firstname.lastname@example.org We would pray for you during the week.
The following prayer may help you to respond to the present crisis:
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

St Mary’s Church is a beautiful Church in the lovely north Buckinghamshire village of North Marston. It stands on the hill overlooking the village, and can clearly be seen from the surrounding area. With its significant historical background, this is a church of today, with a vibrant community and outreach programme. Many people pass through its doors each year, be it on a church pilgrimage, or to worship and celebrate in the inclusive and open Christian church.
We are an Open and Inclusive Church, which means that -
We believe in inclusive Church - church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.
As a genuinely Inclusive Church we extend a warm welcome to everyone, and celebrate their wonderful diversity. We look forward to meeting you!
